The office enjoyed a day out in Cardiff for our Christmas celebrations. We had a tour of the Senedd Welsh Assembly Building as well as one of our student accommodation schemes, City Road, which is nearing completion on Phase 2. We also had a tour around Phase 1, The Parade, which was completed in September 2016.
We are delighted to have received Planning Permission for a development of 8 new apartments on Chilbolton Avenue for Millgate Winchester. The flats arranged either side of a ‘mews’ style street, will take advantage of the stunning views over the golf course.
We are extremely proud of John and Hannah for passing their RIBA Part 3 this week – continuing the practice’s 100% pass rate. Congratulations!
The building is starting to reveal itself, now that some of the scaffolding is down. We are really pleased with the brick. Phase 2 is coming out of the ground now that archaeological works are complete.

We didn’t let the grey skies dampen our spirits at the grand opening of our latest scheme for Winchester City Council New Homes, at Ashburton Road in New Alresford. The Mayor of Winchester, Councillor Frank Pearson, cut the ribbon on the development, which provides 6 flats, 2 houses and a bungalow plus public open space improvements.
Our scheme of six flats and four houses, for Hazeley Developments, is now complete on Andover Road and the majority of the units are occupied. More photos to follow soon.
Works on site are progressing well for this scheme for 4 new build detached houses in South Wonston, for developer/contractor Greenslopes. The timber frames by Merronbrook are now complete.
We are pleased to have received planning permission for a part two storey extension and part single storey extension to a private dwelling in Harestock, Winchester.
Our student accommodation scheme in Exeter is progressing well. The Maranello brickwork is looking great and the building is almost weathertight, with the zinc roof works starting this week.
Impressively quick progress with our first off-site manufactured project. This is day 3 on site with the frames from Bespoke Modular Developments with roof panels going on house 1. House 2 should be taking shape by the end of the week, windows are pre-installed into the brick faced panels. The shell for both houses will be weathertight within 2 weeks.
It’s great to see our second student accommodation project in Exeter now on site, with JSP Construction. Demolition is complete and AC Archaeology are currently undertaking their works.

Our latest scheme on Chilbolton Avenue is progressing well; the rear houses are now up to roof level, the views of the golf course are amazing. The interior fit out of the front 5 units is underway with a show home anticipated in November.
We are pleased to be a finalist in the CPRE Hampshire Awards in the category ‘Making Places – Buildings & Landscapes’, for our affordable housing scheme completed in 2016, Symonds Close.
Our student accommodation scheme in Winnall is nearing completion. The luxury student flats are almost ready to be occupied for the forthcoming academic year.
The final phase of our affordable housing scheme in Alresford for Winchester City Council has recently been completed. The former garage site comprises 6 one bedroom flats and 2 two bedroom semi detached houses. The project also includes the reconfiguration of the highway to create a new landscaped public open space on a former roundabout.
Our pair of new build houses in Kings Worthy, for Element Homes are now complete. JR Baker Construction have done a great job and the houses are both now for sale. If you are interested in buying one please contact Dybles estate agents.
We are delighted to have received Planning Permission for a development of 4 new houses on Alresford Road. The scheme has been carefully designed to work around existing protected trees and to respect the low rise context. Please see this link for further project details.
We are really pleased to have moved into our new studios on Winchester’s Hyde Street. After a fast paced interior fit out, and seamless organisation by our admin and IT teams, the space was ready for our move. We’re up and running straight away and already loving the new space. .
