Balfour House - Phase 1
Winnall, Winchester
This project involved the conversion of the former Red Cross offices into 16 luxury apartments for 35 students, including the complete remodelling of the interiors and re-cladding of the façades to unify the whole development. A communal courtyard garden was formed between the two buildings providing an external landscaped social space. The scheme demonstrates how upgrading the existing fabric, along with some reconfiguration of the internal spaces, can provide a sustainable approach to the re-use of existing buildings.
